Salmon is one of my favorite foods, its smooth flavor and juiciness has no comparison, and just in this recipe for salmon with apple you will notice its versatility more than ever. Fruits give us a lot of play when cooking fish or meat, do not be afraid to risk that there are recipes with them that are yummy, like the one I leave below.

The apple can be yellow or green, since its acidity improves the taste of the dish. The trickle of lemon will prevent rusting while adding some flavor.

Ingredients to make Salmon with apple

3 pieces of salmon
2 applesIdeally green or yellow
1 pinch of sugar
1 pinch of salt
AOVEExtra Virgin Olive Oil
Provencal herbs
1000 g water
350 g of white rice
1 lemon
Some flour

Salmon with apple preparation

Wash one of the apples and chop it into slices, leaving the skin but removing the seeds. Soak them with a few drops of lemon to prevent them from oxidizing. Place in the base of the varoma tray and sprinkle with a pinch of sugar (very little).

Brush the salmon with EVOO or melted butter, salt and pepper and sprinkle with a touch of Provencal herbs. Place on the tray of the varoma, resting on the apple bed we made in the previous step.

Add 1000 grams (1L) of water to the Thermomix glass. Add 2 teaspoons of salt and 20 gr of EVOO. Put the basket in place, and on this place the 350 gr of white rice, cover and put the varoma container on the lid. With apples and salmon. Program 28 minutes at varoma temperature in 4 speed.

While it is ready, we peel and slice the second apple, remove the seeds and in a bag add a little flour, put the segments and mix.

Heat plenty of oil in a pan and fry the floured apple wedges, until they are well browned on both sides.

Platter placing the salmon, thin slices of apple, fried apple wedges and rice. We can accompany with some sauce like the Dutch in small quantities, it is delicious all together.
