Pear, orange and lingonberry smoothie

To make this delicious smoothie you will only need 2 pears, 2 oranges and 2 tablespoons of cranberries or dried goji berries, you do not need anything else, neither sugar, nor sweeteners, all the sweetness is provided by the fruits in a natural way which makes this healthy smoothie in a delicious way to feed the little ones at home or substitute soft drinks and juices for something of quality to feel better from the inside.

Curiosities of the lingonberry

Cranberries have bactericidal properties so they can help fight bacterial infections in the urinary tract. Another curious fact is that in the past the cranberry was dispatched in pharmacies to help fight fever - probably supported by the previous data since when fighting certain infections the body could stop using fever as a weapon.

Tips

  • Oranges and pears are better if you have them in the fridge a few hours before squeezing them. So they will be cold and the juice fresher.
  • Sweeten with a little honey if you consider it necessary, I love it with the natural sweetness of the fruit and the palate adapts.
  • If you can't find fresh frozen goji berries or blueberries then you can turn to powdered or freeze-dried ones, they are safely found in any reputable health food or herbal store.
  • A splash of lemon juice for that special touch - don't overdo it.

 2 Juice oranges
 2 Ripe pears
2 spoonfuls cranberry powdero Goji berries
 Crush icethat is optional

Preparation of Pear, Orange and Cranberry Smoothie

1

Squeeze the oranges and place the juice in the Thermomix glass or in a blender.

2

Let the Goji berries or cranberries soak in the juice in the same glass for at least 10 minutes. If you use Thermomix, you can turn it on in spoon speed, without temperature for 5 minutes to speed up the process.

3

Meanwhile, cut the pears into quarters and remove the core with the seeds and discard them. Place the quarters of both pears in the glass.

4

If you want, add ice to make it a delicious slushie shake, it fascinates me this way.

5

Blend everything at progressive speed 5-10 for about 30 seconds if you use Thermomix, or at maximum speed of your mixer for at least 2 minutes since they have much less power than the first.

6

Garnish with some Goji berries or cranberries and enjoy a delicious natural antioxidant smoothie.
