Before preparing the rice in the Thermomix

It is a very simple recipe but it requires approximately one hour of your time between preparation and cooking, do not forget to have all the ingredients at hand before starting the preparation, having said that, I leave you with the list of ingredients and the steps you must follow.

You can vary the quantities but remember not to exceed the maximum capacity of your thermomix glass or modify the cooking times.

Plating the soup rice

For the plating, we recommend serving the portions to taste and decorate with chopped fresh parsley, accompany with a piece of bread and of course that it is fresh.

Ingredients to make Soupy rice in the Thermomix

 140 grs small clamsor squeak them
 140 grs of round rice
 100 grs whole prawns
 100 grs peppershalf red, half green
 70 grs of crushed tomatoor canned
 50 grs of white wine
 50 grs of extra virgin olive oil
 20 grs of orange juice
 6 parsley branchesjust the leaves
 1 pinch of saffron
 1 garlic clove
 ½ teaspoons of salt

Preparation of Soupy rice in the Thermomix

Soak the clams and add salt so that they release the sand, you must leave them for half an hour so start with this step while we advance with the preparation as far as we can.

Wash and peel the prawns, reserving the shells with the heads separately from the meat to prepare the broth that we will use in our soupy rice.

Wash and chop the vegetables: peppers, tomato and garlic. Reservation.

Put the parsley in the glass of the thermomix, clean and dry, we are going to chop it for 4 seconds at speed 6. Reserve.

Now place the heads and shells of the prawns in the glass and add 600g of water.

Rinse the clams in warm water to remove the salt and sand, place them in the basket and put it in position, remember that the shells and heads of the prawns will be in the glass. Program 10 minutes at varoma temperature and speed 2.

At the end, carefully remove the basket, the thermomix spatula has a notch to help you, use it. Reserve the clams.

Strain the stock through a strainer, preferably metal, as it will be hot. Reservation.

Place the tomatoes, peppers and garlic together with the extra virgin olive oil in the Thermomix glass. Chop everything for 3 seconds at speed 6 and program 8 minutes at 120ºC at speed 1 to make a rich sauce.

The time has come to add the rice to the glass and sauté it with the sautéed vegetables for 1 minute at 120ºC in reverse rotation and speed 1.

Add half the chopped parsley, the saffron, the salt, the orange juice, the white wine, and the stock. Program 13 minutes at 100ºC reverse turn and speed 1.

Add the shrimp bodies and program for 3 minutes at 100ºC in reverse turn and speed 1.

Place the clams in a tureen, and pour the rice over them, mixing with the spatula in an enveloping way.

Let stand a few minutes and then decorate with the other half of the chopped parsley that we had reserved.
